You know I mean you got You cant just say there is a God because well, the world I beautiful. You have to account for bone cancer in children. You have to account for the fact that almost all animals in the wild live under stress with not enough to eat and will die violent and bloody deaths. There is not any way that you can just choose the nice bits and say that means there is a God and ignore the true fact of what nature is.

British, French, German, Austrian, Italian, etc.

They all have very rich cultures.

That’s sort of like saying “I’m Asian by culture” and somehow expecting that to mean “I’m Pakistani by culture” or something like that. For Jesus’s sake, there’s more than a single country in Europe and they all have very distinct cultures, I’m sure. It just doesn’t make sense to use an umbrella term such as “Europe”, since there’s so much that falls into that category. I don’t know if you’re seeing the way I am, but it just sounds really weird that way.

except it seems to me that european is more of a collective identity (due to the EU, etc) than is pakistani or etc although isolated identitys like french are probably more prominent. i see what you mean but equating european to a culture only of colonialism is a little contrived.

Except, the EU is only a political and economic union of a select few countries within Europe, not a cultural union. I’m pretty sure that culture exists only in isolated forms, like British culture/French culture/German culture/etc. and I’m also pretty sure that it goes much, much deeper than just that. There is no absolute European culture (or American/Asian/African cultures, for that matter), it’s obviously divided up. Forget about that thing I said about the colonialism thing, that was pretty messed up of me to say.

Okay, let’s say Obama IS a Muslim.

He prays 5 times a day in the direction of the Kabaah, believes in Allah as his God, and Muhammad as his last messenger. He fasts like a good Muslim during the month of Ramadan, as the Quran dictates.

Let’s say President Barack Hussein Obama II, the 44th elected president of the United States of America is a… Muslim.

So what? So what if he IS a Muslim?

Now, let’s think about things from a different perspective. Let’s say Obama is a practicing Christian. He believes Jesus died for his sins on the cross. Let’s say he goes to Church every Sunday with his family.

Let’s say President Barack Hussein Obama II, the 44the elected president of the United States of America is a… Christian.

So what? So what if he IS a Christian?

One thing many people do not understand is that one fairy tale is not better than another. If he is letting his religion (whether he be Muslim or Christian or atheist) influence his decisions in office, he’s doing it wrong. You’re a fucking retard if you believe that the United States of America was founded BY Christians FOR Christians.
